All my cams run on base circle but we run 8/14 for race and 7/13 for road/street.


Always worth reshimming when dropping any set of cams in, VE rockers love to chew out and clearances love to play around!

sorry guys reshimming is very new stuff to me, what does it do and what is the benefit?

It is setting proper clearance between your rockers and valves. To ensure they are all equal and that they are opening and closing the valves at the right time. Also making sure the exhaust valves have enough clearance so when they expand when hot they still are closed long enough to cool

thanks very well said....so the n1's dont need reshimming but the 184c's do?

Make sure to shim your 184c's. I didn't and one overrev cost me a rocker arm, lol.

U can say that again, I broke two. Did your retainers pull up higher and make the shims look like they sunk?
