help with tranny
hey guys wassup i recently did a swap to an sr20ve on my b13 i took the car to the trak the other day and i notice that the tranny i got has the longets shifts ever i was passing the 1/4 mille in 3rd gear my mec told me need to get another tranny.
so my main question is what will b the best tranny i colud get for my sr20ve swap, and where can i find it, im pretty new to the game thanks for reading.

I think either you don't have a b13 trans in the car or you have other problems because I have done a few ve swaps and at the track they cross the line in 4th gear.

I did my 12 sec passes on 2.0 in 3d gear. It depends how high your reving and power. Our trannys are long. You want to cross the line at your peak power. This is best done in third gear unless you have a short fd and / or are making serious power. And I don't want to hear get a sr16 trans because 4th gear is the same but w a slightly shorter fd. 8k is still like 130mph...

what did you trap at and how high do you rev?

same here 3rd gear @ 105mph

8300 rpm at 95mph the best time was 14.7

Just keep holding it in 3rd. If your trap I'd that low you wont really be able to get a trans with that short of 4th. If you start to trap higher just keep holding it

Check out the calculations and plug in different size slicks to see what sets you up for your peak whp rpm going through the finish...
