Ok, will investigate the Mazworx piston
but
FACT: DET pistons on vvl head... no go... Valves will hit pistons.

sounds good but I am aware of the stock piston option... seeing what else is out there

These guys know what they're talking about. You can run up to SR16ve non-N1 cams with the DET pistons. But if you don't think they do you can always get the VE pistons and call it a day. They wouldn't tell you it could be done if it can't work.

wow... the total opposite with 3 VVL's running DET pistons locally... dont know why they all bent valves... But ok, that wasnt the point of the thread

My motor has Wiseco off the shelf DET pistons.

i also will agree with statement (cp det pistons)

i can testify that this is the truth. saw the head being put on the de bottom. i also saw it put lots of power down on the dyno to 8k with sr16 cams. the engine is in some one elses car running fine right now as well.

Yea not sure where you heard that info but i have 8.5 CPs and vvl head no issues at all. I believe i remember reading somewhere you can even put a vvl head on the stock 9.5 bottom end no problems...

ok great so if u look at the edge where the valve reliefs are on the ve piston u will see the relief goes almost to the edge of the pistons. if that relief isnt made then it will cause the valve to touch the piston
