^ Damn right. I learned my lesson here. Let me be the example for everyone!

Unfortunately it was a daily and i needed an engine and didn't have time to do the proper research.

make sure you check the oil pickup screen for shit stuck in there. also it might be a good idea to take the front cover off and see if pieces of plastic are chilling down around the bottom of it. depends on how much work you want to do and how safe you want to be.

might want to double check the cam timing as well.

That is crazy they just left it in there! The very first cam job I did back in the day I was pulling the zip ties off the cams an chain and dropped one down the front cover. Left that bad boy in there and never had problems haha.

I was worried this was a thread of another engine full of sludge, kind of like mine was. But was relieved when I saw a fairly clean head. Then I saw something brown and first thought was "That's where Mr. Hankey went!"
