I would love to see one of you 2.4 guys line up with something like his build.

Looks like you got what you asked for. The second day at the track a sick crx showed up. K24 350cfm head drag cartel 4s 60mm itbs 14.0:1 comp fuel cell the works. Any ways it was the shit needless to say. Well it was a guy who has a shop out in Chicago. They dynoed it before they came out made over 300whp on their dynodynamics dyno....

And came to run w me in the all motor class. Well he was trapping 117... and iirc a best time. Of like 11.5. Really does not make any Denver at all. But then again I was running the same tomes as last year. A lot of guys who have picked up power over the off season were also running the same as they did previously. It sucked.

But it was cool on the end I was the quickest qualifier and went on to take the trophy for all heads up motor street class.

Obviously conditions were holding us back a lot a 1900lb 300whp crx should have been trapping weelll into the 120s. Helps explaine why my MPH was so weak also..

Another friend of mine picked up 30whp over the winter and was also running the same times as last ye. It was weird. Same 60fts and all but the new whp didn't translate into any quicker times. It was very humid but it still seems bizarre

Very nice man, so what was your best time and mph? Sounds like you had fun either way. People dont realize how much weather conditions can affect your times at the track. When i was in texas back in 03 and would drag race every weekend, there were weekends where it was really humid and kinda warm out and there would be a good .4 to .5 slower times compared to a dry cool night. I mean every time. Not changing anything. I would go from running 14.7 or so on a humid day to running 14.3 on a dry cool night. It was that much of a difference and when your making more power and running quicker times it takes even more of a toll.

Congrats on the win Cory.

My best was only 11.7@116 with a 1.699 60ft. Pretty sad considering I still went quicker last year. But there's a lot of this summer left to figure it out

Yeah you definitely got room for improvement. I dont know what the temp was when you were running but you will be surprised how much better the car runs say in 40-50 deg temps and little to no humidty. Im sure you can pull off a 1.5 60ft as well with more playing around with it. Events are hard to try and make adjustments at as for the most part you dont have a lot of time between runs. I can gurantee with some cooler and dryer weather you will see .3 to .4 better and probably another 2mph not changing anything power wise. Not to mention time with a better 60ft. Keep up the good work.

Did you figure out the possible gasket issue?

Cory is it open header? If is not you should try the last run open header.I always seen the ve's make more whp open header. And with the new intake with the Q45 TB,bigger plenum and 3.5 intake pipe you should also pick up some whp.If its not open header once you open her up and u put the new intake you should make 300 if not alittle more.

I was always curious to know if that was possible and how would one go about running them both. nitrous first then meth or meth then nitrous or nitrous and meth at the same time. let me know how that works out man.
