I found the same shit! Shoved deep inside. And then about a week later i was at the junk yards and found the SAME crap in a sr20de... It boggled my mind that my vvl came like this

The small metal brush
IS
the fire suppressor. That's why I made sure to put it in the pictures. So people would know it is supposed to be there.

That part number is for the grommet only. It does not include a PCV valve.
