Whatever you do don't take it to your local Nissan dealer. They'll just look at the engine and say "hmm that looks different", and they won't be able to handle it. Plus, I wouldn't pay more than $1500 for a complete swap and base tune (not on a dyno) with whatever you have.

well as of now im out of a car because i have bent valves in the de and i really need my car running so im willing to do just about anything to get the ve in and running properly, so if you are very experienced and know what you are doing, my garage is open and the tools are here to do the swap so pm me and i will set up arrangements

I heard you have to change the pilot bushing in the VE?

Some guys remove the pilot bearing/bushing when mounting a DE 5spd trans to a VE and others have left the VE bushing in place successfully. I'm wondering if it depends on your flywheel but I'm not sure???

i have done it both ways, on my engine i removed that auto one an put a manual one in but on my girlfriends car i just left it, same with danfivetens car
