how u come up with that.....?

if youre just getting it running and using the de ecu then run the de injectors. a tuned ecu is like 125 bucks though just buy one.

You should read every thread in this section:

NeoVVL Guides - SR20 Forum

That looks pretty damn comprehensive on your DE to VE swap.

You should also make sure to read our How To Section:

http://www.sr20-forum.com/ve/

I bet that 99.9% of your answers are in those respective sections.

Umm....no it doesn't. You must have fucked something up then.

Run the VE injectors and maf with the DE ecu until you can get ahold of a calum/nistune ecu etc. Just make sure you set your base ignition timing to 20-22 degrees while you are running the VE inj and DE ecu. Then change it back to stock 15 degrees base timing when you finally get the correct ecu in there.

^^^ 100% agree.. I'm running 18* timing on my VE with stock DE ECU and VE Injectors.. Just waiting to get my JWT ECU TUNED. But the 20-22* timing seems a bit on the high side, correct me if i'm wrong.?

you guys are funny. once you get a "real" ecu you will see how shitty its been running. it was seriously a completely different car.....

no nothing was fucked up. im not a retard. i drove it once like that after the install and was more than impressed with the difference between the two.

I have a Calum rt now, and a basic before that. I noticed very little difference going to the basic from the stock ecu with high timing. I guess I should add that it wasnt a stock b14 ecu, I was using a g20, I'm not sure if the g20 has a different timing or fuel map than the b14, but my car felt great.

Sure you will notice a difference when you actually get a tuneable ecu in the car, but that doesnt mean he should not use the DE ecu with bumped base timing for the time being till he can get other means of tuning.
