I was just searching ebay and was wondering what are these people thinking of selling these SR16VEs for so much money. I know these things are coming with transmissions but I have never seen a smaller engine with less HP selling for more than the larger motor with more HP. You would never see a B16 selling for more than a B18 unless it was a Type R version.

it is called the honda vturd effect, where 1.6 liter JDM dohc vtec motors sell for twice what a turbo one does which makes more hp to begin with.

Two years ago I got one complete with tranny, ECU and all accessories for $1600 shipped from a place in Canada. Those prices are getting crazy.

I remember when last year there was full swap for 1100usd on eBay.

I hope this is not a trend of what prices are going to start to look like....

LOL Those guys are retarded... I saw a sr20VE for 900 with all accessories and ecu a few days ago.. That's how it should be :P
