VE OEM intake tube, is that so great?

Simple question, what does it make the OEM intake tube so great? I have been reading a few posts where is stated that is much better than a regular DE factory tube.

Also if that oem tube is better than an alluminium 3" intake pipe?

Probably because its tapered perfectly to work with a 3in Mar and stock tbody.
