Nice numbers, but i have a question, why doesnt the power holds untill 8500rpms? i mean, i see a peak of 220+whp, but i have seen other SR20VEs with less power but the power curve keeps "flat" until 8500rpms then starts going down...

Would it be timing and the need of a more octane gas?

(sorry for my english)

a few things you can do to improve power. wich depends on what you can due in your class.

1. run a higher octane fuel, something like 106 etc.
2. re-tune these motors really shine with aggressive timing.

also why did you not run a higher compression piston ? unless your limited in your class wich i understand.

hello, yes we race with a rule book that we cant use more than 11.5:1 we also cant use more than 98 octane we really test alot with this engine we have gone many times to the dyno different changes and testing all with ITBS we got more torque but low RPM with N1 we got more RPM but lower torque so we decided to stay with the torque

we think its our header its the only thing we havent change or test...

no, we climb from 192 to 197 then to 206 then to 221 but we also went low numbers with some stupid changes... but at the end we test alot and we know what works what dosent work example we have done a complete comparation about exaust:

we did 8 run testing only exaust sizes and long. 2 runs per change.
2.5'' exaust to the back of the car = 217whp
2.5'' exaust to the door = +0.8 whp
3'' exaust to the door = +3whp
3'' exaust to the back of the car =+4whp

we have done many test like this one

I can tell that we also test a fuel cooler can that you can see it on the picture below the dyno sheet it gave us +3whp using ice with dry ice.

sorry about my english

well then good job, thats good power for a 2 liter. im also gonna guess you cant increase cc's in your class either.

keep it up man, enjoyed the vids you posted, look foward to the new ones !!

our rule book permist max 2022cc so what we missing to do is use piston at 86.5mm and we gonna be at 2020cc now we are using 86mm piston 1998cc

With this change I hope we gain little more whp
