I have a stock flywheel.. I'll get in touch with greg. Where is this thing located on the engine? If I'm looking at the engine I thought it twould be on the left hand side near the intake right?

find your idle screw if you haven't already and there are the AICV and FICD, the bigger one is AICV if i'm not mistaken.

Greg has a picture of it on his website. It is on the top left, between the cam cover and the intake manifold.

I've read that VE's FICD is slower then the DE one. Thus installing a DE one might help .

purple plug is in. So i'm guessing the screw is for adjustment of the iacv and not the ficd?

Yes the screw is only for the AAC.

How high up is it jumping? A couple hundred RPM is normal, and I could see it being very noticeable with a loud exhaust. I had a very quiet 2.5" system on my VE.
