BMC Race Intake Manifold....BMC closing up shop!!
I need some measurements if at all possible from the head where the intake manifold meets to the firewall. If i can get a couple measurements. One following the same angle of the intake ports on the head if possible and one maybe angled slightly upward maybe 10 deg or so. It doesnt have to be exact just so i have a good solid range.

I know the room from the engine to the firewall is pretty much the same from the b13 to the b14. If more than one wants to check that would be awesome. Im trying to work with a company on getting an intake manifold done for the ve guys so it would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks to whoever helps out on this.

If I remember right theb14 has a little more room then the b13. My motor is in without the intake on it right now I can measure it tonight

Appreciate it man. Awesome. Thanks. Im having BMCRace do the intake manifold for me. If you havent seen their products they make some very very nice manifolds. Im providing them with the intake manifold flange and getting a pretty nice discount because of it.

They have done both FI and N/A manifolds and are very very knowledgeable and not only that they stick by their customers 110% They had some issues with cracking on their last design under high boost 40+psi applications and they sent out to all owners to send their manifolds back in to them and they would put the updated runners and plenum on at no charge. Very very quality pieces and a lot of the high hp hondas are using their manifold because they make great power.

To sunny-pulsar N14 from the head to the firewall is 30cm!!

You have about 10.5in and these from head straight to the closest part of the firewall. So depending on the angle that will change bit then you have to deal w the lip

Yeah that lip is annoying. It was the only thing close to my last manifold. If i have to notch it and hammer it down to clear it will be fine. Thanks cory. Big help and really appreciated.

very interested

i have n15. should be same as b14.

i will measure both left and right side tomorrow. please send me a pm for reminder - my phone will alert

i am also keen to see what is made for the RDH guys as some after-market intake manifolds have an issue clearing the brake booster as it is on the right hand side of the car

will post pics as well

peace

Their manifold will probably not have any problems clearing your brake booster for rhd cars. If you go look at their designs just take a look at it and mirror it and that is what they are making me. Im providing them with the head flange which I already bought and sending them that and an ID1000 injector so they can mock up the fuel rail and injector bungs to fit those injectors. Im also getting it without the IACV. So mine is gonna be cheap. They normally sell those manifolds for 1600. Im getting it done for 900. They pressure test each manifold to 75psi before shipment to ensure no cracking and test the welds. They stick by their stuff which is why i chose them and that its a great performing manifold and a very very nice looking piece.

Basicly take this IM and mirror it so the throttle body is on the other side. I doubt it will have clearance issues. The runners on ours might be a little shorter if clearance is an issue. They do runner length based on what you plan on revving the motor to so that they give you a proper powerband where you plan on being. Again they can do both na manifolds and boosted. They have several plenum sizes based on that. Very smart guy and I spoke with him today on the phone and he knows his stuff when it comes to manifold performance.

That IM looks great!
