Help deciding on Head gasket for 2.2 build
I'm currently in the middle of 90mm bore 2.2 VE build.

I have a cometic 90mm head gasket but my engine builder is not liking the idea of using a 90mm HG for 90mm bore.
He would like something slightly over the 90mm.

I think I read somewhere hear that Mazworx 90mm HG is actually 92mm, is this true?
Is there any other companies doing over 90mm HG's?

Also is there any choice in thickness for big bore VE HG's

So they are 92mm, don't want to waste more money!
Also is there anyone that does diff thickness ones?

Tried contacting mazworx before with no reply

use the mazworks or get a hold of Derm and see what he uses.

IIRC, the Mazworx is a 90mm gasket but will seal a 92mm motor.

A better question would be, despite what your engine builder is asking for (no doubt to ensure that there are no issues), could a 90mm cometic gasket be used in a 90mm build safely?

Yes.

I am sure people like hearing it from him so I did some searching and found this:

The thread is called builling a 2.3L for cheap.

Derms previous motor ran 90mm with a cometic 90mm gasket. Was fine for at least 100 x 13sec drag passes and no signs of damage when the motor was replaced with the 92mm motor.
