Thread: help with sr20ve with ecu 5g 28710 7j001 rpm max is 6900 rpm ???

Hi, im peter from netherlands.
I have install a sr20 ve, neo vvl, with the ecu numbers 5g - 28710 7j001 a18-m24 cd8 9325.
the problem is the rpm , its comming not higher than 6900 rpm, looks like its delivery factory standard, with automaticly gearbox. ( someone tell me )
Is that threu, can anyone tell me iff thats correct, and how can change it?
Im driving with manual gearbox, for race, so i need higher rpm.
Can i change it myself, i do need another set up in the ecu?

And iff i need another ecu, do i need a complete chipped ecu, ore can i replace a chip myself, from the board from the ecu?
Ore is there a possibility to send my ecu to someone, and send me back the re-programmed one?

thats sound about right

OEM vvl ecu will not rev higher than that.. try to get a chiped ecu(there are a lot of guys that can help you with that) and you can set the rpm limiter..or if $$$ allows then try to get an standalone

You can send your Ecu to Bill in Greece, tell him what you want and he can install a daughter board and map it for you.

Whats chassis do you use? There are plenty of options.
