Thread: Help identify a part

Ok so I took my ve motor apart and took it to the machine shop. when I got home I found this shim/spacer on the floor and I have no idea where it goes. I have taken multiple sr20's apart but this was my first ve. I don't remember seeing this part on any other sr motor. I believe it goes on the crank but I am not sure. Here is a pic. it also is not shown on the fsm for any year sr motor.

It's a shim for the front cover/oil pump. It sits in between the front cover oil seal and the front cover.

thanks my oil pump is with my block getting decked. its funny the de pump does not have this. I pulled out my spare de pump and removed the old oil seal and this was not in there.
