with the 5.0 fd you should finish somewhere in 4th but i am not certain what rpm. should be fairly high up though to make use of the power band

so it depends on the power band

also with a higher fd, as can be seen by the graphs, you reach up in your powerband/speed much faster


Totally true, I experienced myself a couple of passes using 4th gear @ 7000-7500rpm driving a b13-200whp VE...also tested the same engine on identical car using an SE-R stock FD and results were way to different, around 3rd gear @ 6000-6800rpm.

Then you might be able to get away w re drilling it the ring gear. I'm not positive but I belive the only different is the holes..

im going to have to look on this as i want a car thats nice one the streets.... not racing but to feel responsive out the corners

^^^True. My Auto had the pin in the middle of the opening, as did the manual I swapped in. They were both LSD from a 92 NX2K

EVERY lsd trans i've seen had the pin.. i cant confirm that the open diff doesn't have one or does cause i really could care less about an open diff trans an when i swapped the G from open to lsd i didnt look lol
