please tell us what you have

sr20ve complete? sr16ve complete? sr20ve block? sr16ve head?

or tell us what you plan to get

because if you have nothing yet, just do the following:

get the sr20ve motor and buy (whenever you can afford) n1 cams. sr16ve cams cost about $425 new and n1 cost $450 new

so no point saying you not going all out. well unless you have sr16ve head/cams already

peace

the sr16ve head and sr20ve head flow the same. The N1 head flows more and the sr20ve 20v flows the most.

What do i have... A b13 that needs to get lifted!!, didnt realize that the n1's were that close in value as the regular sr16cams, so i'll probably go with em.
Pockets burns and i am yet to start with the build.

One thing to remember though that everyone seems to have missed, you need a remap for the cams to work, otherwise the engine will run lean when the cams switch, seriously lean if you go N1.

The cams will work without a remap but you will only gain one or two whp without a remap...and a risk of wrecking the engine. more power needs more fuel and at that high end the ECU wont adjust.

dont think he is thinking of going n1 with a stock map/ecu

stock ve ecu revs to 7200. n1 @ that rpm doesnt make sense
