Went to the strip, not so well
Well I just took the B14 (SR20VE) to the strip and raced it for the first time. Just a couple hours before going to the strip I raced a friend in his MKV Jetta GLI (2.0T @ 20psi) his car is APR stage 2, downpipe and intake, I was able to get him by 2 car lengths at the 1/4 mile, we raced in an old track but we had no timeslips or even a tree. I heared some detonation up top and I decided to pull the base timing a couple of degrees (was at 15, probably ended up 13), got rid of the knocks and the car felt fine.
At night I went to the new strip and did terrible, after some runs I ended up with 15.2 @ 94MPH, that's a DE time and trap... the times were a lil bit off because of the track, no traction at all, even when that would explain the times that wouldn't affect the trap speed that much.

Yesterday I did some datalogs at around 13ยบ base timing and I found a knock just when the high lobes kick in, at the track I was running against my friend in his JDM DE B13 and we were even almost the whole track, in 3rd and 4rd I was just a lil bit faster, his best time was 15.5 when he had been in 14.9 in a good day where the track is well prepared.
My friend told me some flames going out of my muffler between shifts, I have no wideband so I can't tell if I'm lean or rich
Any ideas of why am I running that slow?
