Most backfires are from exhaust leaks

One B13, one P10 and two B14s

This is true. This is because you need oxygen to make the detonation in which an exhaust leak provides that needed oxygen.

Anybody I know with a VE if you put cam switch that low the car falls on its face then gets up.

I have no exhaust leaks at all, I recently checked out the whole system.

I guess it won't hurt to raise the activation point a lil bit higher but I doubt that's the issue, yesterday I disabled the intake solenoid just to make sure the exhaust was working propperly due the fact of a leaky oil exhaust solenoid, I just clean the plug to get rid of the oil, the solenoid is doing fine.

I'd love to. I can pull an all stock VE and all I have is bolt ons

Its not hard. For some reason most n/a 2.0VEs I see around run low 15s high 14s.. My buddies DE SER with i/h/e ran 15.2 all day. I pulled him by a good 3 car lengths when I had my good clutch.
