i just checked my last dyno log and at 7025rpm my n60 is at 4.260v and at 7800 rpm its at 4.309v so i doubt the maf is your problem

Lynch, what's the elevation there in Vancouver?

Even when I know the MAF is not the issue I'm replacing it

FYI Ecu shows no codes, the knock at 4800 RPM pulls the timing just there and keeps raising normal above 5000RPM, the timing up top is between 29 and the peak is 35 at 7000RPM

Elevation: 150 - 290 feet

i like the bigger mafs too, they look better an dont need any reducer couplers

like i said before, the calum bin has pretty agressive timing, if you like i have a bin that should work fine for you an has lower timing.. afr's Should be in the 12.5-12.8 range.. so a tad rich.. but leaves room for error i suppose

I am also at that elevation, if you don't mind let me check that bin you could send it to castrokn@gmail.com

Maybe I just need more practice but I don't know, before boosting my B13 I ran 15.4 @ 94 MPH all night long in the same track, even when I'm not a noob at the strip I am a noob racing the VE.

I've been thinking on setting the TPS feature in my window switch, that would help me on my launch since the cams won't be kicking until I go WOT

heres the alfredlesstiming.bin only thing different is i changed the timing map a tad..

http://forum.nistune.com/download/file.php?id=1104

an heres the alfredlesstiming-n60.bin

http://forum.nistune.com/download/file.php?id=1106

either of those should work for you..

as for launching a ve its pretty basic.. with shitty street tires i launch at about 3-3.5k an hold the rpms there while riding the clutch till i get traction then i floor it.. thats about the best way i have found to launch on crappy tires.. i've never had the chance to launch on slicks or DR's

Ur VVL engagement is set pretty low too. I know on my buddies car he set his cam switch at 4800 and the car would die off and then jump back up when the cams switched. At 5200rpm it hit pretty nice and finally 5500rpm was the sweet spot.

I'll just keep playing with the setting points, I already have most of those bins and in fact, even when they're OBD1 I can use em for doing some comparison in the timimg table.

well my self and many others have found stock cams to want to be around 4600-4800.. atleast on dynos..

you dont really want that sudden burst of power, because that means you were dropping power until the switch, what you want is a nice clean cross over so it just builds power..

with my n1's i was surprised to find that they wanted to switch at 4900! :O but i think i may have a bug somewhere that i need to work out..
