The tach on the dash reads a little "fast" which is why there's been the confusion. Some tachs more than others.

Its not just the tach, its also the reading straight from the ecu that the safc2 picks up on. It was also indicating 7750-7790 but again the factory rev limiter sucks and it probably doesnt keep up very well.

I'm not sure how reliably the old ecus actually catch the rev limit. I had a few SE-Rs that it just didn't cut and I was definitely topping out 2nd and third according to the speedo.

My redline is 7700 as per JWT with the C1 cam program. Stock valvetrain.

Weird. When I had my stock B13 SE-R ECU it would hit rev limiter at exactly the redline, according to the tach, but according to the neo afc it would not rev over 7350 even after pounding on it on first and second due to wheelspin...

When I installed the Calum I didnt really see what it did on stock rev limiter I just moved it to 7800 or 7900...

hmm.. weird.. so i guess we can all agree on the stock DE ecu NOT being capable of reving all the way up to 8k right?? i'm hearing mixed stories.. I've gotta check if my ECU is possibly chipped.. i haven't gone past 8k in my VE yet so i'm not sure if it will go more, nor do i wan't to blow an engine trying to find out..
