De redline??
Anyone know what should be the Factory Redline for the b13 (92) DE ECU should be???

I swapped my VE into my b13 and it redlines at around 8. Haven't tried going past it, but i've gotten up to 8k. My friend says it should Cut off at about 7,500k but it doesn't.. I've also got my MSD 8969 installed and reads the same as what my original tach, in car, reads.. So i know my tach ain't messed up,

Just curious to know..! Thanks guys..

7500 unless the tach is not reading right or you have a reprogrammed ecu.

im gonna say pull the ecu and see if there is a sticker or something on it saying it has been reprogrammed if your tach is on it should cut out at 7500, your friend is right.

Maybe thats the reason why I blew up my DE.. Took it to 8k and heard BOOOM! DAH DAH DAH, AND instantly felt like it had 50hp.

Ive been revving to 7800 for over a year now, first boosted with S4 cams and now N/Awith stock cams, I dont think that 1 rev to 8K will kill a DE

I cant believe that nobody here knows what the factory redline is on a de motor. A b13 SE-R is 7750, the g20 i believe has a 7200 or 7500 rpm cut which is why people like swapping to a b13 ecu. If its showing 8k then your tach is probably off a little bit.

I had a similar question years ago. http://www.sr20-forum.com/tuning/1430-stock-rev-limit-what.html#post19535
It is 7,500.

Well then i take back my 7750, i remember reading posts off the old forum saying it was 7750 and when i had my safc2 it defintely would pound off 7750 to 7790 when hitting it although the factory rev cut sucks anyways and with my big turbo setup ive blown past the 8k set rev limiter to well past 9k when pounding off it too hard in 3rd. Doesnt really make sense to rev limit right at the redline either. Most vehicles rev limit at least 100-200 rpm past the redline.

But i do trust Calums word for it more than my own as he has seen what the bin looks like and what it calls the factory rev limit to. So ill go with that.
