A few people fabbed them up so it turns down past the frame rail and in front of the transmission. I think that works pretty well.

i think that pipe looks terrible. i wouldnt mind one similar to it that has a normal round pipe wrap in carbon, but i dont like the blob look.

I have the same idea...i believe that it can be used at a VE!! At Honda forums they speak about 5-6hp from this intake!!

heres mine,

3" ebay "200sx se-r" cheapy intake with blox velocity stack after the n60 maf w/ k&n filter.. i think i need to shorten the setup a tad so i can run a bigger filter tho..

Short 45* 3'' pipe with a bung for IACV, N60 maf, and 3'' velocity stack. It works. No air filter FTMFW!
