Used one of the good ve pumps I had laying around. We checked it out and it was fine. Clearances etc all in spec.
Used liqui molly 10w40 oil. Not sure if that was the reason. Maybe the knife edged 4cw crank? I have no idea. All I know is I'm tired of spending 6 months on a build and only getting to drive it for 2 weeks at a time.
