All on this Forum recon we need to make the valve pockets deeper for valve float?? Rite??? WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is the angle that the valves sits in the head???

Shoudlnt the valve reliefs be the same angle as the valve? when the valves float they're going to contact the pistons and break rockers, bend valves...

Deeper pockets arent the cure for valve float, I totally agree. I hope you dont think I was hinting at that threw any of my posts. Deeper pockets allow for more aggressive cams ie. Larger lift, longer duration.

I have no idea of the angle of the valves in our heads. Im sure you know.

Cp knows as at one point they had a ve head so they could spec the pistons.

Wich is possible depending on the design of the motor.

Yes he is I'm sure he's talking about the valve contacting the pistons and or the other valves when they float... if the reliefs are deep enough it will let us get by w a little float. Or stiffer springs....

The one good thing about our valves being at a shallower angle is that it gives us more room compaired to the hondas as far as v2v
