Thread: xtrail Gt gearbox

Hi I bought a xtrail gt the other day for a steal. It has a small problem and I need info with regards to this

What type of gearbox does it have??? If your answer is a CVT do you have proove of this????

My problem is this
Went the car is cold, the car is respnsive and reacton small throttle changes
but when it becomes warm, it's as if the gearbox is consumming the power and doesnt transfer the power to the wheels

HELP PLEASE

If it has cvt then thats a problem ive seen happen with cvt. Im not sure on the xtrails though.

The X-Trail GT does not come with CVT, rather a 4 speed automatic transmission, I don't think I've ever seen a turbo Nissan engine come with CVT, think about it.

No cvt... 4spd tranny... But I would suggest maybe a oil cooler for ur tranny if this happens to u

I have physically pulled CVT off the side of an sr20vet engine - hell ill even dig up some pics!!

i was informed along time ago that one sure sign of a car with a Nissan with a cvt is that the gear lever will have

PRNDL

while the regular tranny has

PRND21 or PRND32
