Thread: Sr16ve Mapping? What ecu/ Boards?

As above, Im having trouble getting my sr16ve pulsar Vzr mapped

I have currently a powerland Ecu, Tuned by bill from Greece, not sure if yed have heard from him,

But its essentially a raised rev limit and lower VVL, But From what i can see, The car does pull "OK" Until 6800Rpm Which it really gets going,

Its as if the point was lowerd, and he couldnt adjust Timing or fueling In vvl, So its only pulling at 6800 At which the STd Timing or fueling would change,

So over all im not to happy with it,

I want to know what are ye across the Pond using to run Your Sr16ve?

I cant find a Nistune Board for VVL, Greddy Emanage Wont raise rev limit,


So what are ye using that will allow Ignition timing to be changed aswwell?

He is able to adjust fuel, timing, rev/speed limits VVL activation points and more.

Maybe some other issue is limiting the ecu.

my friend has a sr16ve in his se-r and its very picky on cam switch points.. i forget what he has them switching at right now but you might want to think about getting a cheap rpm activated switch or two to be able to change the vvl actvation points to find a spot you like..

you dont really want the power to hit all of the sudden you want it to build up nice an smooth so you almost barely feel the switch point.. that was a new feeling for me an it made me feel like my car was slower at first, but the dyno didnt lie an i actually make more power sooner by lowering my switch point so that its smooth.. i was used to that sudden burst of power but infact that was bad..

as for the timing map an fuel map.. you gotta pay to play.. get something tunable and take the car to a dyno

you might be able to use a b13 nistune ecu.. my friends using a 16ve ecu on his b13 harness with no problems.. soo im sure it would work the other way around wouldnt it??

mapping (fuel & ignition) can easily be changed...u have to contact your supplier for it...maybe you dont feel much of the pull since its a 1600 engine with low end torque.

Ya gotta pay to play boss, ill be getting one of these when i get the car finished handling and bolt on wise, then go map sensor and tbs down the line, but a link ecu is my next purchase and westward can tune them

Looks Good dude, But ill try get a vid of mine later and show you what i mean, And its not just mine, its the 3 vzrs that ahve the ecu that iv drove,

Its deff not a lack of torque as you can hear a slight change in sound aswell, if a vid comes out well enough it should clear it up a bit lol.

sounded like rev limiter
