Where did the + CV go on line 3 and where did the 11.5 come from?

Line 1: 12.5 = (611.66 + CV)/CV
Line 2: 12.5*CV = 611.66 + CV
Line 3: 11.5*CV = 611.66
Line 4: CV = 53.18cc

in line2 you have 12.5CV = 611.66 + CV Now we move the cv to the other side of the = and now it becomes -CV That it is 12.5CV-CV = 11.5CV

PS this is how maths in DARK Africa works!!!!

Moving the CV to the other side gives you:

12.5*CV - CV = 611.66

Now what do you do? (Edit: I'm a retard. Of course 12.5CV - 1CV = 11.5CV . What the fuck? I have been out of school WAAAY too long!)

If I were solving it I'd do this:

12.5 = (611.66 + CV)/CV

12.5 = (611.66 + CV) * 1/CV ............. (multiply by reciprocal instead of dividing)

12.5 = 611.66/CV + CV/CV ................ (distribute)

12.5 = 611.66/CV + 1 ......................... (simplify)

12.5 - 1 = 611.66/CV .......................... (subtract 1 from both sides)

11.5 = 611.66/CV ............................... (simplify)

11.5 * CV = 611.66 ............................. (multiply both sides by CV)

CV = 611.66/11.5 ............................... (divide both sides by 11.5)

CV = 53.1878 ...................................... (simplify)

Which I guess is exactly what you got. I guess the missing steps just threw me off.
I didn't learn that voodoo math you did in school. I was taught to show my work. Ignore me!

I know my pistons crown equals 13.5 w 86mm stroke and 14.3 w 92mm stroke. That formula is to much work for me lol. I have a calculator I found online that works.

Engine Compression Ratio (CR) Calculator
Good news, mine should be here any day, when did you order yours? Sorry for getting off topic.

What are your goals for the car derm? And what goals for the engine?
