Stock DE/VE engines.

A lot of people using 10w60 oils. Type-R, EVO and other owners use them too. Street, hillclimb, rally cars... do you think its dangerous?

Every builder and engineer has different opinions! Ive seen VE engines spit oil filter seals and crack housings from 60 weight oil and not being up to sufficient temp.

For me it depends on the bearing type. Factory nissan bearings have a descent babbot coating before it reaches the tin layer, on the other hand ACL race series are a harder compound but with a thinner layer.

I run king/clevite bearings for HIGH rpm and track use - simply because if they pickup - you will generally save a crankshaft or rod end. This means i can get away using a thinner oil. If i run a street engine on ACL because of the harder compound i switch to a heavier grade oil - just as a bit of protection in the event something does go wrong.

Factory bearings are similar to clevit/king style of bearings.

i bought some greddy gr-1 10w60 however after reading alot about it , i ended up going with a lighter oil, as the heavier 60 side of the oil will create more stress on your oil pump, when you see the larger oil pressures at temp the oil isnt actually flowing throughout the engine like it should.

that is why i went with a eneos fully synthetic 5w40 personally i wouldnt go above 50 weight, however a fully built engine 40 weight is a nice even kill.

+1, I wrapped my header and it helped out pretty significantly, cheaper than an oil cooler as well.
