Are the stock VE pulleis that big of a POS? Seriously this motor cant have that many miles on it it was supper clean when i picked it up and its got from what i believe to have fantastic compression at 255 all the way across.

Well ill let you know how this goes

Yea, de pulley will work just fine.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you have to use the DE spacer with the DE pulley on a VE.Otherwise the belts will not line up and/or the pulley will hit the engine.

You are correct, if you dont use the spacer, the belts will be misaligned. But still usable, just have a little bit of noise. But it will get him running till he gets a VE pulley

Triple confirmation, Gspec sells the spacer otherwise just get a VE pulley or its a good time to upgrade to the Gspec pulley. If you need a stock one let me know.

From what I understand the spacer simply makes the DE spacer the same length as the VE spacer, without actually using the Ve spacer...so it has nothing to do with the pulley thats used, thats just what I got from Greg at gspec this last week.

Okay well i swapped pulleys but in the process i took a small knick out of the back of the de pulley. Well i guess it was enough to catch the belt and it snapped as soon as i got the car above 5000. Luckily i was just in the neiborhood and limped it back with little momentum. Thanks for all the help guys
really appreciate it.

Why would you rev it that high? You can figure out if it fixed the problem at idle, no need to rev to the moon.
