Thread: temperature sensor problem

i recently did ve swap on my b13 and its been running good, my problem is that the fans stay on. i did find the sensor clip was missing so it was loose with no contact all this time, so i to plugged it in while engine running but fans still stayed on did the same with engine off. is my ecu in sort of same mode?

note: did not find anything on the search with my particular problem

also note my sensors are backwards does it matter?

Sensor location doesn't matter, only an inch between them so it should be find.

Is the sensors from a de set or ve? Ve won't work must use a de or det sensors

We used the de sensors.

The sensor could be bad. The ECU goes into safe mode when that sensor goes bad, not connected, or has a bad connection.
