Are Stock H22 Valve Springs Upgrades for SR20ve Valve Springs?
Are the stock h22 valve springs better than the sr20ve valve springs?

If so, are they safe for 9000rpm?

Think i read this somewhere

Peace

I think u read that aftermarket springs from the H22 fit. I use supertech springs I think they are the same part number for the H22.

DO a search on how much pressure does the stock sr20ve springs are and how much the h22 are.If they are stiffer it could be concidered an upgrade over our springs. But I dont know if they are really worth the trouble. Then you will have to make sure the stock h22 springs dont coil bind with N1 cams.

Just use the stock sr20ve springs. You should be good. They are stiffer then the N1 springs. The only thing that I would recomende is not to bounce off the rev limiter at 9k with them.

mash up engine thing that?

i do bounce off the limiter at 1st to 2nd shift as a means of getting rid of wheel spin. so if i go 9k, this will need to stop?

thanks

i know its a old post anyways....if any aftermarket h22 valve spring is compatible with the VE,does that make the stock VE retainers usable on the h22 valve springs...
