Thread: Best suitable cam for this SR20VE setup?

Hey guys,

I current got a mildly tuned SR20VE but don't want to put more money into it apart from cams.

It has a 2,5 inch SS header, Magnaflow Hi-flo cat, 2,5 inch piping all the way to the back and an Apexi Super Intake. Adjusting the ECU with an Emanage Blue and VVL with an Greddy MSS.

This morning I got a brainfart and wondered which cam (SR20VE, SR16VE, SR16VE N1, SR20VET) would be the most suitable cam for the current setup.

I want an OEM cam which can make the most out of the current setup without having the need to upgrade the exhaust line, upping the compression or porting/polishing the intake or buying adj. cam gears. A retune is the only thing I wanna do.

Can you guys give me advice?

N1 cam.

N1's hands down. Run ur stock valve train, drop in straight up, retune. Dont rev past 9k and ur good.

Okay, this confirms what I was thinking. I thought that maybe SR16VE cams would be best though but now I have a definitive answer.
