Sanding and Polishing the VE Intake Runners
So last week I did the port matching for the ssac to ve, and yesterday I did the intake mani runners and plenum. Heres how it went. The first pic is how it looks inside the runners before.

Here you can see how the cast line is starting to smooth out.

Now the line is completey gone

On the top of the plenum runners there was these 3/8" size circles sticking out so I sanded them down

a guy in poland did similar to his stock intake mani and graphs showed a 5-6whp gain untuned surprisingly.

if true this is something everyone should be doing, i know i've been meaning to for a while now

I had to do something like that with my intake manifold. I bought a air tool to port it with.

Damn good welders and there drop through.



It was a major pain in the ass to clean up the inside. I couldn't see too well and it was deep on the inside. I went back in there after that photo with a new bit and did a even better job.

I used a electric die grinder and some sand paper rolls.

its called penetration

Is there a how-to available showing HOW to disassemble the intake manifold??

I hear it called drop through over here. Same thing.
