So I don't think I saw a definitive answer here...
Stock USDM SR20DE is 9.5:1 compression. It can run on 87 octane (R+M/2) fuel.
Stock JDM SR20VE has 10.3:1 compression. Can I run that engine on 89 octane with 15* base timing? Yeah, it won't save a ton of money on fuel, but if I'm not tracking it, why pay the extra if I don't need it?
