Octane for Stock Compression VE
Hey guys. I tried searching for Octane in the VVL forum but I didn't find anything. I was just curious at what octane can you run the stock VE without detonation?

Anybody have any experience with 87 or 89 octane? Let me know.

depends on ignition timing. i've run mid-grade (89 oct) in the past with no signs of det. ymmv.

I tried 87 octane. Burned it like nothing and ran like total ass. This was just highway cruising as well. Never again. God I love paying 3.99 for 93.
