i say just use the stock pistons n the n1 head.... since the head should already be shaved then ur cr would be a bit higher than a stock sr20ve motor.... maybe 11.5 (just guessin)

this ^^ IF you decide to use the n1 pistons..

i believe you can get them shaved down a tad bit to lower the compression a bit, that with the bigger head gasket would prolly be ok with your best pump gas..

Cant get or afford the good gas over here. 95ron is over €1.50 a liter now.

I was talking to another person with similar build over here and he recommended me to go with sr20ve pistons and the thiner 1.2mm head gasket for safe good compression.

What is people opinions or recommendations in regards to what head bolts, rods and bearings to go for?

i think he meant notch them for oil squirters.. which yes you do.. you dont need to shave N1 pistons in a standard 2.0VE but in a 2.0V with N1 head i dont know as the head is shaved from the factory resulting in higher CR's

yea from anything I have read the cr with n1 pistons will be too high to run on our gas without a octain booster which wouldnt interest me.

I think i have decided on 20v pistons and a 1.2mm head gasket.

Dont think there will be any machining required.

What would people recommend to do with the block when its stripped down.

Would it need to be honed?

Is it necessary to get the crank, rods etc balanced?

how high do u plan to rev.... is this a daily drive.... i would say yes hone the block... never seen a 20v piston up close so im not sure if it needs to notch the skirting....but miko have a set selling if u interested....

Was think 8500 max. Its a daily drive for the moment yea. I dont think they need to be notched as they were designed for a 2L engine but im not sure.

Hmm must have a look see what price
