Franklin N1 spec cams
Quick question: is it recommended to have these cams dialed in through adjustable cam gears to get the most out of them or not? For example to get the intake valves open sooner for more cilinder filling?

How do these cams compare to N1's? I alway thought the Franklin's were a tad more aggressive?

Since I have done a back to back dyno test I can say they are the same as the factory N1's.

This is the last dynosheet (torque line is funky because of the scale).

From the header to the end it's 2,5 inch. I was on a hubdyno if that matters. We tuned using the E-Manage, cam switching via the MSS.

A friend of mine with the same setup on stock cams made more power on the same hubdyno..

Only difference is he has a light Fidanza flywheel.

This was done with the same car about 30min between the runs. Nothing changed in the car, we didn't even tune it for the N1's it was tuned on the Stage 4's. We didn't even change the VVL points. We dynoed with the Stage 3's 1st then rolled the car off the dyno during the dyno day. Swapped in the N1's fired it up waited our turn then strapped it back down and did the same pulls.

Ignore the high numbers it was set on STD for the correction. The SAE numbers were lower.

Might want to check your cam timing maybe your off a little, or could be something else going on with your car like bad knock sensor ect.

Knocksensor was replaced recently, no errors in that.
Cam timing should be ok (5 degrees, like stock, using VE ECU). But will check.

Anymore idea's?

Oh, and when I ran on a rollingroad dyno with the engine completely stock I made more power than I do now?

I know why, but wont disclose why publicly. Have done a fair wack of research into this matter.

AFAIK my cams are the only true N1 copies with true 20v low.
