How can I put an SR20VE in a RWD 240sx?
I might have found a good deal on an SR20VE w/ transmission and kevlar clutch. I would be wanting to put that in my 240sx, but I've heard that there's alot of complications to that.

What would be the simplest way to put an SR20VE to a RWD 240sx? And with the motor acquired, how much would that cost? help please

oh and i cant get just the head to put it on a sr20det bottom

I think you set yourself up for THUNDER with that question. It's a head swap not the whole motor. You need deep pockets and TIME! Check out Mazworx's S14 and Kako Racing. They both have this setup achieving SWEET numbers! Good Luck!

thanks, so i cant do anything with the whole sr20ve motor? thats all i can get, i have have the sr20det bottom and the sr20ve head, too expensive to get seperately. Is there anything else I can do?

And I don't even know what's the problem, why can't the VE fit in as easly as the DET?

EDIT: I've read up abit and it says the solenoids that activate the cams would hit the firewall, cant i simply cut a hole of somethin ._.

please keep reading, if you dont know the problems, how will you know how to fix them? det and ve bottom end is different. you can't bolt the ve into the rwd tranny. keep the det bottom in. but a ve head. get the block made to fit the ve head, not that hard to do. Also you can buy the ve head for cheaper then you buy the whole motor. saves you money and less left over parts that you dont need.

Get an S14 SR20det. Buy an SR20ve head for $400 ish more or less. And keep adding. Don't even think about keeping a budget on this. Even the question itself cost money so pay up!

this isnt a job your average import shop will want to do, and if they do they are most likely not capable of such a task and will manage to fuck it up.

id either learn how to and do it your self, find a local sr20 guy who knows how and has done it before.

stratton.
