I'm debating on just getting it running for now, or going with a standalone setup. I think I will just get it running though, what do you think? I just need to find someone who can burn a set of chips for it.

IMHO there is no need for a standalone just yet. I can prepare a bin for you for S13 sensors and stock SR20VE maps. Can't you find someone to just burn these chips for you?

Unfortunately, almost all the shops that I know of, do not touch chip burning, only standalone, or nistune realtime, they used to do it, but people would have too many complaints and not enough profit from it. I might do a nistune realtime, just gotta wait to see how much funds I have at the end of the month, spent a little too much last month, so we'll have to see. I have 2 VE complete intake manifolds that have all sensors, but I'd run a Q45 MAF or something with a larger opening. And also I have a complete S14 Sr20DE intake manifold setup with sensors. I'll decide what I want I want to do after the intake manifold is made, which my fabricator would really like to do a group buy for them.

Got a BIN from veNom14, I am going to start work on the engine harness next weekend, taking a break on the engine build to focus on some other engines that need my attention, then after that, going to do some measurements and find out the compression ratio the engine has due to the machining I had done.

Yippy, lukacloud is finally getting the head to me so I can get manifolds made.

I would stick with a Nistune or Calum realtime with a 3" Maf (E60/N60). The Q45 will gain no HP over the smaller Maf. When using too large of a Maf with small injectors like 333's, the scaling gets out of wack on our stock ECU's.

So do you want me to burn that bin on the chips and ship them to you? I didn't recognize a clear answer in your PM.

Updates, tonight I did some mock ups of how all the other small stuff would be run, coolant port to the head from the block, the oil pick up tube spacing. Sending some more stuff off to get some custom things made. I truely want to be able to offer all these parts as a packaged deal for someone to just assemble a RWD VVL engine like it looked from the factory. This is just version 1.0 of my engine, so no AC or Heater core (Live in TX... why need a heater) I'll have some updates hopefully next weekend with the head on, and how it should look before the intake manifold is made. I'm really tempted to just buy Mazworx intake manifold, its $1K right now... although I'd rather see what my local guys can come up with since they are also a shop and can do whatever needs to be done.
