We'll see, first engine is just proof of concept and to get ppls attention with the car really to show that you don't need a turbo car to drift or a V8 power. Too many ppl in Houston have been doing these crazy conversion that take over 2 years to complete to just have tons of issues with fitment and fabrication. Also I will be taking to a friends shop where he does a lot of really good competition tuning, not just peak power, for longevity. I have lots of resources for everything but Nissan in Houston. Even have a shop for corner balancing etc.

Block came today...DAMAGED DURING SHIPPING.... seriously I don't see how these west coast punk shops make it. The deck was unprotected and the block was thrown DECK DOWN into a plastic bin with zero bubble wrap or anything to protect it. Numerous places the bin got torn up and I have 2 very deep dents, one at the corner where the oil pump and head meet, and the other at the large oil return port. My machine shop can fix these, but I'm just really pissed off about how much the seller did not care about how I like to spend $200... not to mention the seller is on Zilvia and has really good rep 23+. So I guess either left in the hands of ppl that were noobs or did not care, reguardless, I'm going to just charge him the price to fix the issues on the corners. The cylidner walls though are perfect, exactly what I wanted. Everything else is top notch on the block, so I will go through with the build using this block. Wish me luck! I need a set of N1 pistons and rods if anyone has some? I have yet to find anything. I'll accept used ones this time since its an experiement and first try at spinning a RWD Neo VVL for me.

As promised, here are the photos of the block, straightest thing I could find was a socket at the time, and yes the block droops off at those edges.

Post up what I should do, I sent the seller pics already and told him I'm not sending it back, but I would like him to pay a little for the repair costs. Is that a fair deal? Considering its almost impossible to find a really great condition block now adays that doesn't have melted pistons on the cylinder walls.

Ok, hopefully the block situation will be taken care, reguardless,

I have purchased the following

-S14 complete intake manifold
(will be sending out to get the lower section ported and matched for a VE intake flange)
-S13 SR20DET to S14 engine harness complete
(got from a buddy who had it lying around with the ECU)
-S13 socketed ECU
(need to find someone that can upload the VE map and such onto the coilpack system that the DET uses, also using all DET sensors)
-Lightweight Fidanza flywheel 13lbs

Parts I already have from an old VE I parted out
-Oil pump
-Oil pick up (will get modded once block is finished)
-Crankshaft
-Spacer for oil pump
-Lightweight crank pulley (UR)

Still searching for pistons and rods for an SR20VE and also I'm patiently waiting for lukacloud to send me his destroyed head

I need a destroyed head by the end of march so I can get the mock up engine installed, get all the wiring harness done and exhaust manifold made before I spend the big bucks building the rest of the engine. I don't like engines to sit around over a month after I build them since I wipe the cylinder walls clean with a rag and they might rust, I do this to enhance the break in ring seal and also to keep from the O2 sensor being fouled by excessive oil exiting through the exhaust.

...anyone intrested at all?

update... block is being repaired and will be ready by Saturday. So trying to order bearings and stuff today so Greg can get them to me. So far so good for everything. Also I have a local company that does pulleys, so I might try and get them to make a custom pulley for my engine for the timing indicators.

I'm interested in your plan tho I'm not a drift fan. Who is making the header for the car?
