thats what im saying, the VE along with a nice h2b(especially a g23 vtec and h23 vtec) setup would rape a k series if built right ,k isnt king it just has more aftermarket support,IMO dollar for dollar the VE is better than the h series and k series,

There is no motor in this world, dollar for dollar can compare to a VE, the motor is like 700bucks.... Or less.......

A little more exposure and bigger companies will catch on. Looks like the K's reached their limit. We are catching up slowly. Yes there are a few big power K's but they are not holding together long. Those 103mm cranks do not agree with the rev's. I know plenty of kids with K24 or larger displacement motors. Strat, I can guarantee you the k25 is proper. Even when it was on a Q16 tune by Yosolo, it made 318/21X.

I will let the bashing continue. I know for a fact we are catching up and things are only getting better. If I didn't see the N/A game getting better, I wouldn't have wasted my time with this build. It will be killing a lot of K cars.

I could care less about times. It could have ran a 10.9, all I care about is the push to have equal parts made for this motor. Give me the right cam and I will guarantee 330+whp under 13.5:1 comp.

Some of the fastest K series tuners in CT agree that the only thing hurting the SR is the lack of people involved and the lack of knowledge from those involved.

i agree, lack of support and good parts. nothing substantial will ever come about, cause these motors are 20 years old, no one gives a fuck about them, any company thats trying to make money that is, look at mazworx they are the only company pushing parts, i bet not even 5% of there business is fwd guys.

What are you telling me?

i know what motor your talking about. it was rocco's ve. so 800 dollar ve, 400 dollar n1's, 300 s&r, 600 dollar header, 1500 dollar aem, 3000 dollar itbs.
thats 6600 dollars. 6600 dollars will dayum near get you a 300whp in a k.
or spend 3k on a type s swap and make 225whp and still be faster then the 6600 dollar 'stock' ve.

When someone wants to put the facts on paper we can have an open debate.

agian, i agree, support is the problem, we dont have it, were not gonna have it. i love and loved these cars more then anyone, im gonna say ive prolly spent just as much money on that car as anyone if not the most, ive built the car from nothing, to something and back agian numerious times. what did it get me but standing on the side of the road scratching my head ;(. ive learned im no engine builder, but after all this ive learned its better to go were the support is. its better to have tried and proven power, and im not talking about 4 people making power but 4000 people making power all over teh world.

why, dont get butt hurt its just a discussion. its like my buddy trying to compare his 11.0 notch off the spray to a new vette. a hell knock the vette saying ohh a new z06 is only gonna run a 11.5, well its stock with a 60thousand mile bumper to bumper warranty, that he can beat the snot out of every day for the next 6 years and not have to worry. thats my point.

now when i read this i dayum near fell out my chair.

single cam d16's have gone twelves, a 2 liter ve with pistons and cams can barely break the 12 sec barrier. did you crack 12 secs yet ? i think for a long time weve been living in a bubble, there are other manufacturers out there doing big things, making huge progress. id much rather ride the wave at this point then be paddling like crazy to get to shore.

dont feel like im ranting, im just tired of seeing people post up, facts based on 2 cars ;/. i wish it was more then 2 but it is what it is.

At the end of the day, its our love for these cars. You will never be the quickest. There is always someone quicker. Its a matter of sitting happy with the power we have and make the moves that we can. You will get a K car and love it. You will get beat by something and want more. Its just part of the game.

Look, some of us are die hard Nissan people and just simply don't like hondas. Yea, there may be faster all motor Hondas out there, but this all motor VE craze has really just started kicking in. Yes the VE swap has been around for quite a few years, but there are only a handful of people doing it out there and it is starting to catch on like wild fire. Look at how many people, like yourself, are ditching their DET and going to a VE. How many honda hatches are running out there VS SE-Rs? Thats the prime reason the aftermarket support isnt there. Now if you get people hooked on them and started getting more people interested, thats when the vendors start showing up.
Hey if you want to go get a Honda, more power to ya. But just remember, when the VE catches up to the K series, which it will, you will be driving a car that thousands of people have and not one that a hundred have. When you to a car show or the track and your car is like the other 100 honda's there, you will releize the mistake you made by doing the switch. I am not getting butt hurt over it by any means, just didnt fell like watching a topic that is getting beat like a dead horse.

K20a ek civic vs LS1 camaro - YouTube

this is a stock k20a2 in a ek, with cams and a header and kpro. 12.5 @ 109. hes gone 12.4 with that stock k20a2 also, just didnt get a vid.

when everyone sees this vid ill post vids of this guys car with a k24 bottom end a 1mm over piston and itbs doing 11.1 11.2.

beating a dead horse is right, the horse is dead, stop beating it.

Strat, when did you become the poster boy for honda? God damn bro, i was talking about a stock VE. We all had bad luck with these motors in our time. You for one did also, and your boy ran 12s with a stock d16? if so, what made you turn to a nissan if it was so easy? common bro, you hate us now?
