Thread: 9 months in and im still lost

so my car still doesnt run, im at this point wondering if i need an egi harness, i took the car to a shop to finish it but basically they gave up, ive been doing electrical work on cars in school, but basically i went from a ga16de to an sr20ve the fuel injectors are not getting a signal so thats why im thinking its the egi harness, i already have the battery harness, engine harness and fuel injector harness for the car, im assuming this is the last harness i should need to get the car running any thoughts?

If you give up,, i would suggest goin to a junk yard, find a SR20 car 93yr model, rip out the complete harness and swaping it for the 1 you got also take the obd1 computer idk what kind of ECU your are runing and take as many sensors from the SR motor as you can you should be ok

we have emissions in maryland so thats totally not an option

Swap to a 00-01 SE engine harness and ECU?

did you remember to hook up the plus that connects by the ecu you have to mod it because its diffrent pilug you can depin it and rerun the 3 wires to color match them.if you dont to thta it will never start alot of people have this prob & always ask me this question how did i do it what i do. if you need any info pm me i did a 94 gxe 1.6L to sr20ve+t conversion.
also what year harness,dissy & ecu are you using?

im using a production date of 1998 harness for the manual trans, brand new from nissan, and i have the stock sr20de ecu or a standalone aem ecu i guess i should also mention my car is a obd2 car from 1999 produced in 6/98
