Its only when you tip the "pedal" that the noise comes. On driving - when you accelerate its there as well..

Sounds like bad Pre-det (not a great thing).
If it's a standard SR20VE ECU mine did the same (they run high timing at light loads).

Which injectors are you running, what timing, where is the TPS set, etc?

In the video it looks like the rocker cover or valve cover has been off at some stage (the red goop under the seal). If so, may pay to check that the shims are correct, or that they're there...

Or... Sticky injector(s), noisy, possibly not supplying enough fuel on demand.

Hopefully some help in tracking down the culprit it fixing it.

I have stock ve cams I would sell if you are interested (in us so shipping wouldn't be cheap).

Looks like you have a good start into diagnosing the problem.

I have a complete VVL engine on the ground @ home. However, changing the parts is not the answer. Gotta first figure out whats causing it before swapping any parts.

Have you done this yet?

Just a wild guess, but could loose throttle plate bolts be a cause? Causing the plate to vibrate when suddenly applying throttle?
