if anything "all motor" should be the DE section, since there is quite a bit of difference between de/ve's

my .02 =P

I verified it with GPS and google maps. The cable trannies can be very inacurate but mine was actually pretty close.

I've always wanted to see what an NX hardtop with a tall P10 gearbox and a 16VE would do. You could even de-cam it with 20ve cams.

I should also add that I always got 23-25 / 33-34mpg from DEs with just ihe mods. My stock 98 200sx would do 38mpg and I don't drive around like an old lady or hyeper-mile either. Just use conventional info from the forums and I guess at this point what would amount to a lot of experience with SRs.

Fair enough, let just put it all in a "Naturally Aspirated" both all more and VE!

back on topic, the power/MPG ratio is making like VVL more.

Yeah it was your idea to tell me I am crazy and I will hate the setup.

I should note that I got those mpg numbers with real gasoline not the 15% ethanol bs scam gasoline you get these days.

Your fuel tank seal is bad (where the fuel pump goes)

DO a full tune up. Spark plugs, dizzy, dizzy cap, rotor, check the seals for dizzy, change ur oxygen sensor, change temp sensors, maybe change ur thermostat, clean your MAF sensor wire, etc... My stock, original, USDM DE has 200,000 miles and I get 28-32 MPG in the summer time. Winter time, all MPG drops in cold areas because gasoline has more oxygen into it to help cars with cold starts and colder weather.

Can changing the seals for the distributor can that really have a affect on the mpgs? I was also curious if you noticed more power or more mpgs using a certain brand of fuel Vip?

You are getting such little distance out of the fuel because there's so little in there. The 1/2 way mark on the gauge is the point where the tank is a little more than 1/4 full. The 3/4 mark is really only about 2/3 full, and the full mark is about full. The gauge is not linear. It has been this way for a long time, on just about any car out there.

Do you know how many gallons you fill with to get to that 1/4 mark on the gauge typically?
That I did not know about, that is interesting info Ben. I usually put in about 4.8oo gallons and that brings it to the half way mark on the meter.

The tank holds 13.2 gallons (as claimed by Nissan) I have put 13.5 in there once before so I can tell you that the number Nissan claims may not be exact.

If your dizzy is leaking bad enough, it can inhibit spark production, so in an odd way, it can negatively affect your mileage. Any water in the ignition system will throw all sorts of kinks in the system.

Certain brands of fuel most definitely affect how a car runs. That top tier gasoline place claims that Turkey Hill is a good gasoline to use. Maybe it is, but my car ran a tad bit worse with that stuff compared to Exxon, Hess, Shell. I use Shell and Hess almost exclusively these days. Some people say that Hess is bad, but I have not had a bad experience with Hess, not once. And I run 28* of timing (3* advanced over a 25* base, damn near everyone else on the entire boards use a 15* base idle ignition)

Replace some important stuff, monitor your fuel mileage and fill the tank up all the way. It is truly hurting you because you are allowing fuel to change into a vapor by letting all the air stay in the tank rather than be replaced by fuel. If you really want weight savings, get rid of the stock tank, and get one that holds five gallons.
