Other thing is, with revving to 10k rpm you would need 100% custom gears, because there is no stock gears that would suit 10k engine. You are focusing too much at engine... start with suspension, brakes, weight reduction, safety and driving skills. Engine is last thing to do.

To finish first, first you must finish... Sum up what You're saying?

To keep it up there, you'll need to drive like Keichii Tsuchiya around the track....it's not ideal, unless your car is going to become a sole purpose car. For a amatuer track day car, a big bore 8krpm engine will be alot better.

Get a day under your belt on the track before you take the engine apart, or order any parts....it will point you in the direction of what you want. Like Jagy said, it will steer some of your thoughts to the rest of the car.

He means that you have to do the things in the right order and see things in perspective.

He was just summarising your post in 1 sentence

Yes, thank you.

Sorry to have caused the issue...

Hopefully you agree with the statement jagy?

I agree with the track time suggestion, your perceptions of what you need will change rapidly after a day or two on track. You don't realise this until your ragging the car on the edge that it needs so much more just to handle high speed stress alone
