Thread: oil pressure help

cold start the oil pressure is at 60-70 on idle when car get warm oil pressure drops to 12psi on idle. im breakn in my bearings now so when car get 3.5k oil pressure get to 40-45psi is this good or am i lookin into a new oil pump

Generally VE pump operation

cold Start over 100 PSI
Hot idle 20-30 PSI

do you think im in need of a new pump, glow shift gauges electric are crap or the cheap oil im using is thinning out autozone 10w30

put a mechanical guage on there for testing

check my timing today timing is set on 12-13 degrees. everytime i take my head off i always have this problem i can build the motor but cant set time right
