I didn't lower, I raised the intake to 5800 and left the exhaust at 6300. There was no bump in the final curve, but you could hear the big cams come on and it just kept pulling strong to 9000.

That's cool. Personally I don't really care to have a nice kick.
I prefer a lineair increase in power with a strong continuous pull.

I will do some testing with those settings, see how it works out for me. Just to play around with the MSS a bit.

My max RPM are set to 8200 rpm. No upgraded valve springs or retainers so I don't wanna risk 8500 rpm. Maybe with some adj. cam gears in the future we could spread it out over the rev range i think

With the 4-1 header and worked head/intake it was making peak power at around 8300. I'm in the rebuild stage now, looking for more punch from 6-8k in exchange for having to run to almost 9000 all the time.
