4age or BMW throttle bodies
Anyone running 4age throttle bodies on their ve?

I've seen BMW m3 bodies on a Nissan, but can't find the adapter blocks being sold anywhere...South Africa?

4age throttles has been proven to be too small. The nice thing about using the E46 throttles and adaptor plate is, you dont compromise the spacing between the throttles because they are all independant from each other hence the perfect spacing. I have flow bench charts showing with the adaptor and throttles bolted to the cyl head, only a 2.5% loss whereas the stock VE manifold show losses of 10.5%.

use mikuni's from a gsxr 1000 motorcycle, buddy of mine used them on his honda, i believe they are 50mm or something like that...use the stock flange, cut off a little after the injector bungs and use silicon couplers to install, works fine with the factory linkage

Cheers dude, you know of any differences between the e36 and e46 bodies? Bigger?

Would love to have the ones you're selling, but with import tax etc, it will cost nearly as much as Jenveys

E36 are siamese twins, 48mm. E46 are singles and 50mm
Do you have to pay import tax on everything? What about a gift?

good info
Yes mate, my jdm orange indicators were at 20% from aus. Heard some worse stories too

Not sure if it matters if it's a gift or not here. But any chance to make money, they will charge me lol

Are the adapter blocks still available from that south African guy? Does anyone know?

No I didnt but looked at some dyno charts 4AGE versus stock manifold.
I dont think there is a flow chart from someone using the 4AGE to see what the resulting losses was.
If you have a close look at the exit port of the E46 throttle, almost a perfect match to the inlet ports of the VE.
Speak to any reputable porting guy and they will tell you the importance of it.
Flow losses is relative to potential HP and previous comparison dyno charts proved that 50mm throttles are way better than even 48mm.
4AGE throttles spacing are a lot narrower than the SR and the only way to fix that is making an adaptor plate, resulting in flow losses as well.
